Uppsala Castle

On a hill in the center of Uppsala City lies the pink castle with the city spread out around it.

The castle is one of Uppsala's foremost landmarks and has a long history dating back to the 16th century. Built during the reign of Gustav Vasa, the castle was intended to be an impressive symbol of royal power and presence in Uppsala.

Like many other old castles, the castle has rumors of being haunted. According to legend, several ghosts wander through the castle's corridors and halls, making it a popular destination for ghost tours.

Inside the castle, there are two museums, the Uppsala Art Museum and Vasaborgen.

For the adventurous, there is the opportunity to walk on the castle's roof! Pretty cool, right?
